Balea Face Masks Review

I like to indulge in a face mask every once in a while. I also don't mind if they are affordable, so I can use them more often and not feel guilty about spending too much money. DM always carries a wide range of face masks from Balea, which are usually quite lovely. Not long ago, I bought these two and thought I would write about them today.

Every pack comes with 2 compartments, and each compartment usually has enough product for 2 uses. They are a bit unpractical since a foil packaging can be difficult to work with, but for a price (less than 1 €) who can complain?

The first one I got this time is a peel-of mask. I've been using this for a few years, to clear my skin when I felt it needed some extra care.

It comes in a sticky gel form that you apply to your face and leave it on for about 10 minutes.  After that you will fill it drying, and pulling out all the dirt from your pores. When it is dry and starts peeling off, remove the mask (and an optional step: disgustedly stare at all the dirt that it pulled from your face). Wash the face to remove the bits that might still be on the skin and don't forget to moisturize!

It leaves my skin feeling firm, clean and very smooth. I am careful to not overuse this one, because it might dehydrate the skin, which would lead to the opposite of the desired effect.

That's how the mask looks when it is dry and ready to be taken off.
(Sorry if my bare faace scared you!)

The other one is a strawberry-yogurt one. To be honest, I only wanted this one because Sabina from Sabina's little happy place wrote about another strawberry mask on her blog, and ever since then I wanted to try one myself. This was the first one that caught my eye so I bought it.
This one comes out as a firm strawberry yogurt. It even smells like one, so you have to restrain yourself from eating it.

From the moment you apply it, you start feeling a soothing and cooling sensation that calms down your skin, whilst the scent of it leaves you obsessively thinking of strawberry smoothies. After about 10 -15 minutes, the mask almost completely disappears into the skin. The instructions say that you don't have to wash it of but simply massage it into your skin. I wasn't sure about that, so I took a wash cloth and gently removed the layer that was still on my face.

My skin felt amazing, very calm, gentle and incredibly moisturized. I went to bed without applying any extra moisturizers and woke up with the softest skin that still slightly smelled of strawberries.

Have you tried any of Balea's masks yet? What do you feel about them? Which is your favorite?

Thanks for reading and see you in my next post!
