Essence Cinderella TE Review

I haven't been really excited about the Essence TE since last March, but this one had my heart long before it got to the stores. I was so keen on getting my hands on certain products, that even my boyfriend knew about it, and today he spotted the collection at the store and got me all the bits I hoped to find (how awesome is he?). The packaging is gorgeous and the colors absolutely amazing. I was so excited to get them, I had to play with them immediately, and here is what I think about them!

Blush 01 So this is love
The product I was most excited about was the blush in 01 So this is love. I admit, at first it was the packaging, that made me fall in love with it, but even the color looked amazing, so I knew I had to have it. The first impression after holding it was that it is relatively smaller than I expected –the packaging fits in the palm of my hand, but I don't mind that. There is 8g of product in there, and the smaller size makes it great for storing and carrying around. The packaging is cardboard, but very well made –the magnetic closure works great, and have I mentioned it is gorgeous?
The blush itself is a gorgeous peachy-pink color, and after closer inspection, you can see that it has tiny gold shimmer in it. Even though the color looks quite bright in the packaging, it isn't to pigmented, which I think is lovely, because it gives you a nice, very natural looking complexion. The product is very soft to the touch, blends well, and the shimmer isn't really visible after application, but gives your skin a radiant effect.
The product is lovely and would be perfect for beginners who are just getting into using blush and all those who like a pretty and natural flush to the cheeks. The blush cost about 3,59€.

Lip gloss 02 So this is love
Lately I've been getting more into wearing lip glosses, and the 02 So this is love, which is a brighter one from the collection caught my eye. I didn't expect much, and maybe that’s why I was positively surprised. The gloss is a very pretty, warm toned almost peachy-pink with lots of tiny holographic glitter.
As I expected, the color looks quite sheer when applied to the lips, giving them just the right amount of color, while the glitter adds a lovely shine to the lips. The gloss has a slightly artificial, but still pleasant sweet scent which I find quite nice. It applies smooth and evenly, but the texture is quite sticky, but I don't really mind that, because it adds to the longevity of the product.
I think it would be perfect for everyday use, as a product you carry around in your handbag for over-the-day touch ups. The lip gloss costs about 2,19€.

Nailpolish
01 Sing, sweet nightingale, 02 Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo, 03 Prince Charming
As a nail polish addict, I couldn't pass the gorgeous colors of the polishes in the collection. I didn't really care for the metallic green-ish shade, but the other tree looked amazing. I got the light pink shade in 01 Sing, sweet nightingale, gray-ish lavender in 02 Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo and a metallic blue shade in 03 Prince Charming.
The pink and lavender shades both have really tiny holographic shimmer in them and dry up to (supposedly) porcelain, matte finish. Before getting them, I was on the edge whether they are too similar to other similar pasteli shades in my collection, but the finish makes them a must have in my collection.

01 Sing, sweet nightingale

02 Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo
These two polishes dry very quickly, but need two or three coats for an even opaque look. They look gorgeous on the nails and are perfect color for the spring time.
I tend to stay away from metallic finishes, since the brush always seems to leave visible traces on the surface. The color of this polish was so gorgeous, that I decided to give it a go. I have a really hard time describing the color, but it is a muted silvery-blue with lots of tiny silver shimmer.

03 Prince Charming
It dries to a metallic finish and the color looks absolutely gorgeous on the nails. To be honest, the strokes of the brush are slightly visible, but not as much as I worried they would be. It's opaque after two coats and would look perfect for a special occasion or even to brighten up a dull day.
All three polishes have a thin nice brush, with equally long bristles that ensure a precise application. Last year I was really disappointed with the nail polishes from the Bloom Me Up TE and I was quite worried that these might be the same, but luckily they are not. The formula of these is lovely, practically like the formula of the Essence nail polishes from their permanent collection. Each of the polishes costs about 1,49€.

Nail stickers
01 the stroke of midnight, 02 it's more than I ever hoped for
The nail stickers are possibly the cutest part of the collection. They come in two different designs, 01 the stroke of midnight and 02 it's more than I ever hoped for
The first one is from Cinderella's life before she met the prince with lots of cute animal stickers. The other one is from the time Cinderella went to the dance, with pumpkin carriages, glass slippers and other cute motives. I haven't tried them out, but they look so incredibly cute and I can't wait to use them! Each set costs about 1,39€.
Overall, I'm really impressed with this collection and I am so happy with all the items I got. I was also interested in the highlighter and the palette, but I have way too many similar products and I was able to resist them. I will definitely get a lot of use out of these products and I can't wait to start creating different looks with them. Also, the packaging of the collection is one of the best in while.

When I was a bit younger, I've been obsessed with Cinderella and now I am really excited for the movie as well. To be completely honest, I am really tempted to see the Disney's Cinderella again, I might just go watch it for the old times sake.

What about you, are you excited about this collection? Are you planning on getting any of the products?

Thanks for reading, and see you in my next post!
