This book
review was long overdue, but I just didn't get around to writing it until now.
Now it's finally time to talk about the Glam Guide, written by my all-time-favorite
YouTuber FleurDeForce.
Let's begin
with a bit of a fan ramble. Fleur was one of the first YouTubers I started
watching, and to this day, I am (embarrassingly) and completely obsessed with
her. Other YouTubers don't appeal to me as much, I watch quite a few of them,
but I am constantly hoping to see a new video from Fleur in my subscription
box. I think that is mainly due to the fact that she lives in England, in a
gorgeous house with a bunch of cute dogs, which is one of my biggest dreams in
life, that I like watching her so much.
I was
really excited to hear, that she was releasing a book and I knew that
eventually, I'd have to get my hands on it. Luckily, my mum went to London just
a few days after it was published, and she kindly brought it back for me.
When I
finally had it, I took my time with it and read only a little bit every evening
with my cup of tea. Even with that, it only took me a couple of days to read
it. Now here is what I thought about it:
The book is
gorgeously designed and has a bunch of beautiful drawings in it which I
absolutely love. I was expecting it to be a bit more personal and not so
step-by-step instructional (but I guess that is where the name guide comes
from). To me, it was a lovely quick and easy read; I did pick up a bit of new
tips and tricks, but overall, didn't learn anything spectacularly new.
I would
however warmly recommend to any makeup (fashion,…) newbie out there. It is
thoughtfully set up and it guides you through every basic step.
I'm glad I
have it, it's a nice coffee-table piece and a lovely book to skim through every
once in a while.
Have you read
the book? Any other YouTuber books that you would recommend?
Thanks for
reading and see you in my next post!
Rawr,
your Beautysaur
I bought this bought a few weeks ago and I'd never heard of the youtube channel before but I loved it ! I',m someone who doesn't know all that much about make up and I found this extremely useful and I loved how she showed what colour eyeshadows for what colour eyes and stuff like how to pick foundation :) I'd recommend a book called All I Know Now by a youtuber called Carrie Fletcher :)

Meni je ona tudi super, pa tudi knjigo sem kupila. Zaenkrat sem prebrala samo par stvari, a mi je kar všeč. Pa prekrasna je za pogledat :)
