"Before and After"- Home Decor Ideas with L'Occitane Slovenia

We all know the struggle when it comes to finding the right pieces that will transform an empty space into a warm, cosy home. Decor items are often hard to find, and when you finally see something you love, the price tag almost makes you cry.

A few days ago a couple of Slovenian beauty bloggers joined L'Occitane in browsing through their warehouse which, to be honest, seemed more like a magical land of everything cute and pretty.

Storing all the items that appear in L'Occitane windows or on displays in their stores, the warehouse was a dream come true for every decor enthusiast.

They presented us with a challenge, where we could pick three items from the storage, take them home and incorporate them into our living spaces.

The proverb »One man's trash is another man's treasure« comes to mind, as we were encouraged to take the items, give them our personal touches and bring them back to life as lovely room decorations.

Choosing the items was challenge itself, as there are so many wonderful items available and there were so many ideas what could be done with them. In the end I picked the wicker basket, a jasmine branch and (of course) a gorgeous bouquet of blush peonies.

The challenge came at the perfect time as me and my boyfriend just moved in together into a tiny flat and were still in the process of decorating it. There was a small table in my flat and my wish was to decorate it according to the seasons to make the whole place feel a bit nicer. There were not many items on it, as it was still a work in progress, and so I picked all three items with this particular spot in mind.

As a picture does say so much more than words, here are the before and after photos of what I did:

I decided to try out 3 different layouts. The first one was a simple upgrade from the previous look and the second two a bit more lavishly decorated, one fitting this autumnal weather and one that I'll bring out in the spring time. I incorporates some of the decor pieces I already had around the flat and I have to say I love the finished results.
