June Favorites 2015

Another month has gone by and here I am again, sharing my monthly favorites with you. There are not many, but I really love all of them.

Catrice KaviarGauche LE Blurring powder Pearls C01 Sweet Secret

The biggest surprise for me was from the KaviarGauche for Catrice collection. I wasn't sure if I'd ever even use it, but it looked so beautiful, that I really couldn't resist buying it. My skin gets quite oily in the summer and adding a highlighter to that doesn't seem such a great idea. But, with a combination of a great matte foundation and a bit colder weather, this was one of my most used products this month. The beads are a combination of white and rose with gold shimmer and leave a lovely sheen on the skin. The highlighter is not only gorgeous on the skin but looks lovely as an eyeshadow.

Sleek i-Divine Garden of Eden eyeshadow palette

Another eyeshadow favorite this month was the Garden of Eden palette from Sleek. Green seems to go perfectly with my brown eyes and I can't seem to stop using it. My favorite shades in the palette are Python, Fig and Tree of Life. I wrote a detailed review that will be posted in a few days, and you can read more about it there. Let's just say that a few shadows in there are absolutely amazing.

I got mine on the Click2Chic website here.

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer in 101 Celestial

For my lips, I've mainly been using nudes this month. The one I reached for the most wat the Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer in 101 Celestial. As a very pigmented lipstick-lip gloss hybrid it looks amazing on the lips, doesn't dry them out and lasts quite long for this type of a product. I wrote about it in my recent La Vie en Nude post, so you can read more about it here.

I got mine on the Dišim.si website.

L'Oreal True Match the powder in D5/W5 Golden Sand

This is the foundation I turn to every summer. It's a very creamy powder with mineral pigments that blends into the skin seamlessly and covers all imperfections. My face stays matte throughout the whole day and the compact is very easy to carry around with you. For me, this is a perfect summer foundation.

Rimmel Sun Shimmer Instant Tan in medium matte

Since it's summer, and I have to study for my exams, I don't get much time to spend in the sun. I decided to try out this instant tan Sun Shimmer in medium matte. The product can be applied to body and face, is supposed to be transfer resistant, water resistant and should last up to 24 hours.
I've only used it on my body for now, but I love how it looks. It applies evenly and smoothly, but sets very quickly. It gives the skin a healthy brown tone and works even better on a slightly tanned skin. From what I experienced, the product doesn't transfer on the clothes, is resistant to sweat and fades evenly. It washes of easily with soap and doesn't leave any marks on the skin.
For me as a beginner, this is a perfect product to experiment with tanning. It's a lovely product to play with and I will get a lot of use out of it this summer.

I got mine on the Dišim.si website.

The last (but not least) favorite is not a beauty product. This month, I got a big tumbler with a straw for drinking water. I made sure that the plastic is BPA-free and that there is a cap to prevent any spilling. I usually drink a lot of water anyway, but this makes it even easier. For a hot summer day, there is nothing better than having a big tumbler of water for sipping.

What are your summer favorites?

Thanks for reading and see you in the next post!

  1. Jaz imam tudi tale tumbler in je zakon :D Pa še zdi mi, da zaradi dvojne plasti pijača dalj časa ostane hladna, kar je sploh + poleti :D
