Sleek: Garden of Eden palette

Every beauty enthusiast will know about the Sleek eyeshadow palettes. The praise they get in the beauty community is very hard to miss which puts them on the top of many wish lists. I was not an exception, they were on my wish list for the longest time, and after finding them on sale on the Click2Chick webpage, I finally gave in and ordered some.

I didn't want to end up with another nude palette, so I chose three palettes that seemed colorful but wearable enough. Besides the Sunset and the Supreme palette, I also got the Garden of Eden that I am talking about today.

The top row of the colors is still a nice, safe mixture of browns and bronze colors, but the bottom row is full of gorgeous green shades. There is a mixture of mattes, shimmers and glittery shades in the palette that vary in intensity and color payoff.  The names themselves make the palette more appealing to me, and combined with some amazing shades in here, I was really impressed.

Gates of Eden – bronze/gold shimmer with a good color payoff and a smooth texture
Eve's Kiss – light purple shimmer with a good color payoff and a smooth texture
Paradise on Earth – brown/purple shimmer with great color payoff and almost creamy texture

Python –deep brown shimmer with a red undertone, great color payoff and a creamy texture
Forbidden –taupe matte with golden glitter, poor color payoff and hard to blend
Flora – brown matte shade with poor color payoff, hard to blend

Entwined – light brown matte with golden glitter, poor color payoff and hard to blend
Adam's Apple –light matte green, poor color payoff and a powdery texture
Fig – a light green shimmer with great color payoff and a creamy texture

Evergreen –bright green shimmer with a blue undertone, great color payoff and a creamy texture
Fauna – forest green shimmer with great color payoff and a creamy texture
Tree of Life –deep matte green, great color payoff and a smooth texture

The colors with a good payoff and texture are absolutely amazing and can compare to most of the high-end shadows. Lasting power is quite impressive and they tend to stay on my eyelids throughout the whole day. The matte shades (with the exception of Tree of Life) are not very impressive, but for the price, the palette is worth having just for the outstanding shades.

Have you tried any of the Sleek products and what would you recommend?

Thanks for reading and see you in my next post!
