Le Couvent des Minimes: Eau Sereine Relaxing Pillow Mist

 

It seems like it was ages ago, that I attended the Le Couvent des Minimes's event for their new line of products called Serenity (to read a post about the event click here). The relaxing scent, combining lavender and mandarine enchanted us all, and I was so excited to find the pillow mist in the good-y bag we received on our way out.

At first I thought of it as an interesting novelty item that would add something new to my evening routine,  but the more I used it, the more I noticed what an impact it created. Beginning with the occasional spritz on my curtains or my pillows before bed, I was enjoying the fresh and relaxing scent, but didn't notice any other effects. After a while, spraying a bit on my pillows a few minutes before going to bed became a habit.

The scent itself was lovely, but what I realized has happened, was that I unknowingly created a routine that helped me to mentally prepare myself to relax and go to sleep. Now, every time I spray this on my bed and lay down, surrounded by the notes of lavender and mandarine, I began to relax, stop focusing on the daily tasks and problems and easily fall asleep into a deep and relaxing slumber.

If you find it hard to let go of daily problems and relax at night, try to create a routine that will relax you and help you prepare for a restful sleep. A pillow mist like this can help trigger that mind-set and help your body and mind prepare for a good night sleep.
