The fall
season is finally here and for me, this means burgundy, coppery-red eye shadows
and dark, vampy lips.
Last year, I went on a mission to find a perfect vampy drugstore lipstick. Besides the Rimmel Apocalips 304 Eclipse (which will be described in more detail in another post), this one got closest to what I had in mind.
It is a Misslyn lipstick in 122 extravaganza and it is a deep, dark brownish-red with a hint of berry. The formula is unusually wet for a lipstick, which makes it a bit tricky to apply and disappear from the lips quickly. Because of the runny formula it also tends to »bleed« around the corners, but this can be avoided by applying a good lip pencil first.
I intentionally used it without a lip pencil, so you can see how it works on its own. |
It does work as a stain or a full on lipstick, depending on how strong and dark you want it to be.
Overall, working with it is a bit of a fuss, but if you are
willing to give it a little bit more time, it is a perfect fall lipstick.
What is
your favorite autumn lipstick?
Thanks for
reading and see you in my next post!
Rawr,
your Beautysaur
