The days
are getting warmer and Essence are getting ready for summer with their new TE
collection called »Next stop: Summer«. Last week I shared a preview of the
collection with you and today I am here to share my thoughts after trying out
the colour changing lipstick and nail polish holder.
The whole
collection has fun and brightly coloured packaging, perfect for the summer.
Nail polish holder comes in a bright coral shade and is designed like a huge
diamond ring. You secure it on two fingers, pop the polish of your choice
inside and can easily paint your nails without worrying about holding the
bottle.
The holder
fits almost any type of nail polish bottle, which I find very handy. It would
be perfect for those who are a bit more unexperienced and struggle with nail
polish application. I find it perfect to use while sitting on the couch and
watching a movie, it makes painting your nails easy and fuss-free.
The
lipstick was one of the things that intrigued me the most in this collection.
Shade 02 little miss sunshine looks like a pastel purple in the tube, but
immediately applies as a sheer pink on the lips. The colour can be slightly
built up, and the intensity slowly develops to a bright pink. The finish is
sheer and feels very moisturizing on the lips. It fades quite quickly, but
leaves a pretty pink stain that lasts on the lips for a few hours.
I love
products like this in the summer time. They are easy to throw in your beach bag
and apply without a mirror if you want some colours on the lips. The colour
changing effect has a very '90 vibe, but I love it. I find it very quirky and a
good stepping-stone for those who want to try the crazy coloured lipstick
trend, but don’t yet have the courage to commit to a full-on lavender lipstick
shade.
With such
affordable prices (nail polish holder: 2,19 €; lipstick: 2, 49 €), they are a
complete bargain and will be a fun addition to your summer makeup bag.
