Review: "ProvoCATRICE" Scented Powder

Last week I wrote about the new Catrice's limited edition collection called »ProvoCATRICE« (love the name!). I was sent a scented powder from the collection to try out and I wanted to share my thoughts with you before the collection comes out. That way you can decide if you are interested in the item and go find it in the stores.

The packaging of the whole collection looks gorgeous and the powder is no exception with its sleek burgundy top and silver writing. It looks very luxurious and high end, although I was expecting it to be much bigger in size when I saw the pictures on the internet.

It took me a good few minutes to figure out how to un-seal the sifter (there is a sticker on top, in case you find yourself in the same situation!), but after that, the product is easy to use and I like that you can control the amount of powder you dispense. There are only 4g of powder in the packaging, which is a bit strange for a body powder; however, if you use it to highlight your collarbone or similar details, it should work all right.

The powder itself is an off-white nude shade and very finely milled. Applied gently it provides skin with a light illuminating sheen and it can be built up to a slightly more obvious pearl-like effect. It works best with a brush, which provides an even application and sheer finish.

The scent is very gentle and powdery, very similar to the scent that other Catrice product usually have. It is almost identical to the scent of the blurring powder pearls from their Kaviar Gauche collection that was released a few years back.

This would be a lovely product for the warm summer nights, to highlight your collarbone or shoulders, or a light dusting all over the body.

The price is 5,29 € which I find quite steep for such a small amount of product, although it does come in beautiful packaging that looks lovely on my vanity and reminds me of the old school Hollywood glamour.

The collection will be available from the 17th of May and if you are interested in the rest of the collection, you can scroll through the preview here.

*The product was sent to me for reviewing purposes.

Thanks for reading and see you in my next post!

Rawr,
your Beautysaur
