It tastes like love (The Valentine Project)

Hi everyone! As you probably know, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and you might be thinking about what to do for your special someone. Here is an idea!

I know that there has been a lot of hate going on about this holiday, accusing it of being commercialized and hollow, but I don’t agree. Sure, stores will do anything to make a profit, especially on holidays like this, but who says that the only way of showing love is buying expensive presents? I am a strong believer in taking every chance to celebrate love, and the idea of a special day to do just that seems perfect.

After lovely Živa from Nothin' Fancy. Really. posted her Valentines project post I knew that I wanted to join and write something myself. If time allows I plan to do more Valentine’s Day related posts, but for now let’s dive into this one.

Here is an idea what to make for your special someone for Valentine’s Day or for anyone else that you love. It’s quick, easy and tastes delicious.

To make this you are going to need:
  • Small pie crust (you can make your own if you want to)
  • Pudding in your favorite flavor (I used vanilla)
  • Whipped cream
  • Strawberries (or any other preferred fruit or heart shaped sweets)

Make the pudding according to instructions on the bag and let it cool just a little bit. If it is too hot it might damage the crusts. Pour the pudding into crust and let it cool down completely. When the pudding is firm, you can start decorating. Cut strawberries into heart shapes and put them in the middle of each pie. Put the whipped cream around the heart to make it look even prettier.

Let your imagination take over and use anything you like to decorate your pies. You can use the whipped cream and write a lovely message on the pies for your special someone.

And voila, your dessert is done.

Don’t just reserve this recipe for a boyfriend / girlfriend. If you are single, gather your friends and invite them for a sleepover. You can make the pies together and then eat them while watching Bridget Jones, Pride and Prejudice or any other movie you like.

Thanks for reading and enjoy the dessert!

Rawr,

your Beautysaur
