December is
the time when I spend a lot of time in my kitchen, baking and creating yummy
treats. One of my favourite things to do is decorating a gingerbread house, but
this year I decided to add a few of my own extra touches.
For a few
years in a row, I've been buying a gingerbread house kit in Ikea, but this year
I decided to bake a few cookies on my own. I added a tree, and a gingerbread
man and even found a cookie cutter that slightly resembles my dog. With a lot
of imagination and a few sweeties on hand, you can easily decorate the cookies
to your liking and create the perfect winter wonderland.
At the same
time I also gave these candy cane inspired cookies a go, but because they were
hard to design, due to the soft dough, I moved on to creating these swirly ones. No matter the shape,
they all tasted delicious.
Here I'm listing the recipes that I used as inspiration, but as always, my cooking is always subjected to a certain amount of interpretation:
Hope you found
the post interesting and that it will inspire you to do a bit of Christmas
baking yourself.
What are
your favourite treats to make in the festive season?
See you
tomorrow!
Rawr,
your Beautysaur
Kako lepo. Snežinke in candy cane keksi so adorable! Candy cane imam jaz tudi v načrtu za spečt letos. Upam, da mi uspejo :).
